It is highly unlikely that you have not come across a Strictly Rhythm release, especially if you like to dabble in a little DJing. Strictly Rhythm is world renowned as THE seminal, cornerstone, US Dance music label. It famously kick started the careers of Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Armand Van Helden Josh Wink and Kenny Dope, amongst others. This year the label celebrates its 20th anniversary. A series of hot new singles has recently re-instated Strictly Rhythm as a premier authority in dance music and it now releases the new DJ friendly digital only compilation series, Strictly Rhythms. The first in the series is mixed by Aaron Ross, the international DJ and house music producer who is one of Strictly Rhythm's chief A and Rs. A former Radio 1Xtra and Galaxy Network presenter, Ross was recently highlighted by 'Billboard Magazine' as one of the most promising young A and Rs in the business. Strictly Rhythm Volume 1 is a mix of both contemporary upfront tracks and classic releases presenting the sound of Strictly Rhythm. The release will be available in mixed and DJ friendly unmixed bundles. The selection features no fewer than six previously unreleased mixes or edits including Funkagenda's new remix of Josh Wink's seminal classic Higher State of Consciousness, Aaron's very own 2009 edit of Roger Sanchez's early 90s floorfiller, Shake Shake, and the brand new main room house sound of Afrojack's Radioman. Aaron Ross has also added his own flavour in the mix with special acapella additions of Logic's The Warning, Colonel Abrams' Victim of Loving You, Bingo Players' Touch Me and Osunlade's Momma's Groove. Look out for the next volume of Strictly Rhythms selected and mixed by Osunlade, due May 09, and Strictly's forthcoming 20th year celebrations.

Launching into the mix with characteristic energy, Morillo joins the dots between the past, present and future, blending brand new mixes of Strictly benchmarks like Underground Solution\'s Luv Dancin and Hardrive\'s Deep Inside together with upfront exclusives including four new tracks now picked up by Strictly and featured here for the very first time on a comp, namely Chris Montanas Speed Of Life, Leventinas Nightshift, Nicos Diorio Shop along with Afrojacks Radio Man all will be brought to wider consciousness as part of the Strictly Erick Morillo album campaign. If thats not plenty enough, two further new Subliminal productions, a brand new Morillo mix of the track Life Goes On from Erick and Richard Grey with Shawnee Taylor and another from one of Subliminals founding producers, Harry Choo, with the Jose Nunez mix of Cumbia are included, bringing this album to the attention of the wider Morillo and Subliminal community. The result Erick describes as kind of not what Strictly was, but where Strictly is going. The mix is a very sexy showcase of the peak time dance floor moments audiences can typically expect from one of his current live performances containing all the influences that have inspired him on his travels from House to Minimal with even a little trance thrown in for good measure that are all Strictly. well, Erick Morillo, of course.

House Masters Present - Dennis Ferrer - The Videocast 01/27/09
House Master is a title which many may claim but few can justify. Dennis Ferrer, an artist known first and foremost as the New York producer and remixer with the Midas touch. He burst into the house scene with his seminal 2003 hit 'Sandcastles' a collaboration that he did with Jerome Sydeham that set his standard. He has since reworked and defined classic records from Blaze, providing the key mix on the anthemic Most Precious Love, a UK Top 20 hit, as well as being the guy that took Fish Go Deep feat. Tracey K, The Cure and The Cause, to another level completely, reaching No. 23 in the national charts, crossing over to the mainstream direct from the underground due to great radio and club support.
